Reviews
The pulled pork is everything you want it to be. I get it on a Brio or Sourdough roll with only chilies and cheddar cheese with a side of horseradish. If you don't like spicy get it without chilies and it'll be more traditional bbq. Portions are BIG. You can easily split one or save half for later. I usually save half and reheat in the microwave for 1 minute with a damp paper towel over it so the bread stays soft. All in all, this place will be the thing you crave when you go out of town.
I love this sandwich shop. Make sure it's the one in Arcata, and not Eureka as they have different owners. I highly recommend the Club, make sure to get a brio roll, add avocado, as well as the chipotle sauce. A local gem.
No seating for dining in. Everything is to-go. Sandwiches are good and they give you a lot on the sandwich. Lots of choices for warm and cold sandwiches. Prices are a bit high for sandwich shop, I got two sandwiches and a bag of chips for $30. Overall a good place to stop if your on the go and want something g better than the usual chain restaurants.
This place was good!!!! The friendly staff recommended the bbq tofu because I couldn't make up my mind on what flavor tofu to get. The sandwich was big. I saved the 2nd half for dinner. Pros: Vegetarian options Great staff Fast service Cons: Far from where I live in Southern California =(
Not closed, just changed names. Now Pile High Deli (https://www.yelp.com/biz/pile-high-deli-eureka-2). Same great people and food. We grew up in Eureka and try to get sandwiches here every time we're in the area. We passed through just after Thanksgiving and the sandwiches and service were every bit as good as we remembered. I had an amazing club with avocado, my husband had the chicken parmesan, and our daughter had the BBQ pork. All yummy!
